We can’t believe it’s already the end of June! School is winding down and we’re expecting some really hot weather this week! Welcome summer! This summer we’re doing some traveling, hence a new segment, Where in the World Are Kim and Rich? The winner each time we play will get to appear on our show and talk about whatever they want to talk about! We’ll start it early next month!
Facebook Home Not Living Up To Expectations. Zuckerberg Haz A Sad – Tech Tuesday
It was announced a couple weeks ago that Facebook would be releasing a new product called Facebook Home, that would basically turn your Droid phone, into a Facebook device and give you better integration with your apps and and account on Facebook. I’m guessing it’s their first step to see if a truly Facebook phone [...]
Law Enforcement Wants Your Text Messages Logged In Case You Do Something Illegal – Tech Tuesday
A law that was developed back in 1986, called the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, helped pave the way for securing our privacy for electronic devices. Some smart people saw that in the future that technology could be used in ways that many people wouldn’t like to infringe on their rights. Only being a kid at [...]

Does Facebook Have Too Much Power? – Tech Thursday
So earlier today, there was an error at Facebook that affected 3rd party sites that use Facebook’s API for logging into their sites. It redirected legitimate users to an error page, even though there was no error on the 3rd party website. Essentially, no one was able to log into these websites for 10 minutes. [...]

It’s that time of year again. The time where the TV networks roll out their new shows for the fall. Who made the cut and who didn’t. Who’s the freshman on the TV block? That’s this episode and we focus on NBC this time.
Kim and I took a week off last week, because she didn’t have anything prepped for the show, which turned out OK for us as we really made use of the weekend. But we’re back and things are back to normal. Or Are they?
Well, I haven’t really posted an Amateur Radio story in a looong time, so I figured I was due. Hopefully, many people didn’t miss me too much. But I’m working on a couple ideas for the blog here, that will allow me to have some good stuff for you to enjoy without me getting all burnt out.
Back once again! We can’t believe it’s already episode 42 – almost to 50! Where does the time go? It’s almost been a year of episodes! I’ve been doing more work traveling (with more to come much to Rich’s dismay), but we’re looking forward to traveling together this summer! We have a whole list of places lined up and we’ll share that in a future episode. Don’t forget about our trivia! Do you want to be a contestant? Let us know on our Facebook page and we’ll let you know when we’re going to do the trivia again!
Kim is out of town again for work, but I’m holding down the fort with another episode of the show. I know what you’re thinking, “Rich, you’re so busy, how do you find the time?” I don’t really, I just have a small shell script that replaces me and is more efficient.
Yes, the title of this show is kind of cliche’, but it fits for one of the stories we touch on. That same story leaves me speechless again. I seem to be having an issue with that as of late with episodes. But Kim and I are back and we kind of wing it this episode, as we didn’t have an material prepped because we were still on an UN-official vacation, sort of.
So Kim and I are on vacation this week, and since we didn’t want to carry all our stuff around, we decided to do a “Best of…” show for you. So I went through the library and found some of the clips I thought we didn’t sound like a stinky pile of socks and pulled them out. And this is what I got.
